A triathlon is a multi-sportevent involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance events (swimming, cycling and running) in immediate succession over various distances. Triathletes compete for fastest overall course completion time, including timed "transitions" between the individual swim, bike, and run components. It is characterized as one of the hardest sports that exist in the current international scene. Athletes who practice it maintained a strict practice schedule to cope with the hard demanding standards, both physical and psychological.
There are different intensity modalities of triathlon, but they inspired upon its essence of the combination of different sports.
At the present moment, there are great athletes dedicated to the practice of Triathlon and the number of followers grows in a steady progression since the triathlon achieved its most intense moment becoming an Olympic sport in Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Thanks to the exponential growth of triathlon, every major European city has an important appointment on its calendar. London, Barcelona & Stockholm are few of those.
